Ecology Club 2007-2008
The Ecology Club is part of the after-school program here at Herrera Elementary. The students in the club have been a part of the beautification of the campus. The first project the students have been involved in is cleaning up the atrium. The garden helps reinforce science, math and reading skills. The students also are involved in making sure that are campus is kept clean, this has taught the students about community service. Lastly, the students have learned about the importance of recycling and what can be recycled.
